+ Perspective Passport
Using content and themes from current news articles, I created a travel kit that allows people to travel through life’s everyday adventures and document unique experiences; a passport through life. The main item of the kit is a passport. This project is meant to illustrate how transforming even the most ordinary experiences into marvelous adventures, one can gain a new perspective about their world, culture and themselves.

Snips from local newspaper articles are placed over the maps but between the instructions, as a barrier, as if reality is always between where you are and where you want to go - is part of everything. The chosen bits act as abstract prompts to the instructions (i.e. donating money > finding ways to help banned immigrants).

All “instructions” are taken from real people based on a series of blogs, forums and interviews about the best and worst experiences an individual should endure before dying.

Maps from all over the world work as background texture for the postcards as well as the interior pages of the passport itself.
